The Highway Engineering Laboratory organizes Conferences and Seminars in contextual subjects. In parallel, the members of staff participate in Scientific Committees of other National or International establishments.
Suggestively is reported that the Highway Engineering Laboratory organizes since 1992 and every 4 to 5 years the International Conference with the title 'Bituminous Mixtures and Pavements'. In June 2011, the 5th International Conference is taking place in Thessaloniki (seehttp://iconfbmp.civil.auth.gr/ )
In 2003 the Civil Aviation Authority of Greece in conjunction with the Highway Engineering Laboratory organized the 1st International Conference with the title 'Airports: Design and operation'
